In our business, it’s important to have people who have walked the talk when it comes to BMS, because that’s what sets us apart. With a career spanning mechatronics engineering, industrial automation, mining systems, and some of Australia’s largest building data deployments, Cameron brings a level of grounded pragmatism which adds value from plant rooms to boardrooms.
In his new role as Head of Partner Integration & Support at Bitpool Cam will continue to build teams and grow talent while setting the standard for pro-active service, technical excellence, and faster time to value for our partner network. Let’s find out what makes him tick.
Q: What excites you most about your new role?
Turning pain points into opportunities. I’ve been the engineer on the ground, wrestling with late data, messy labels, and unrealistic deadlines. Now I get to lead a team and build tools that eliminate those barriers for our partners. That’s exciting.
Q: How will your leadership impact Bitpool partners?
Cam: We’re setting a new standard. Integrations will be fast, self-service, and supported by AI. Partners will see dashboards approved before hardware even lands, naming consistency enforced, and support that proactively anticipates needs and delivers on them.
Q: What’s your vision for the team and our partner network?
I want Bitpool’s partners to feel like they have a technical hub behind them rather than just solving problems when something breaks. We’re here to amplify performance for our partners, by being pro-active in helping them scale, faster.
Q: What’s your philosophy on technical leadership?
Lead with clarity and empathy, and never over-commit. Provide the processes, tools, and training so engineers can thrive. And always bring lessons from the field back into the product, that’s how we stay ahead.
Q: What do you think makes Bitpool different?
We’ve lived the challenges of integrations and deployments. We understand the grind. And we’re building a future where those pain points are removed.
Q: Best piece of advice you live by?
Aim high and know when to say no. Protect quality and your team’s wellbeing, it’s the only way to be consistently good.
Q: Finally, what’s your superpower?
Probably curiosity – I believe there’s always a better way and am unrelenting in finding it!
